Care Guide
Learn about the stunning Monstera Standleyana Albo Variegated and how to take care of them like a pro. This guide base on our exprience taking care of them and propagating them in our nursery.
They key is: Basic need of aroid plants base on their natural habitat
Light
As tropical plants, they usually get bright, indirect light. You can provide bright indirect lighting by putting them near the window sill or by buying grow lights. Never expose them to direct sunlight as this can cause the leaves to burn.
Soil
For the soil, you can mix perlite, sphagnum moss, and pine bark. In our nursery, we put them in sphagnum moss. A moss pole can be used as a support. With that mix of soil, you don’t need to worry about overwatering the plants, because the water can be drained easily.
Water
You only need to watering them once a week or wait the top of soil dried before watering them again. Don’t overwater them, because wet soil can make the root rot.
Humidity & Temperature
Humidity and temperature for Monstera Standleyana Albo Variegated need to be similar to their natural habitat. Put them in warm temperature and high humidity place. Warm temperature around 65 – 79 degrees Fahrenheit and for the humidity around 50-60%.
They can freezing and died if you put them in cold temperature. Avoid put them in place with cold temperature below 60 degrees fahrenheit.
Propagation
You can propagate Monstera Standleyana Albo Variegated by stem cutting. Place the cutting in the aroid soil and allow it to root. Once they have healthy roots, you can repot them in a new location with aroid mix soil. Don’t forget to add a moss pole to support their climbing.
